This Privacy Policy explains how The Game of Trading Ltd ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the GOT Journal application ("the App"). Using the App requires an account, and your trades sync to that account so they follow you across your devices. A copy is also kept on each device so the App keeps working offline. We collect only what the App needs to do that, and we do not sell your data.
Data you enter. Trades, prices, strategies, watchlists, notes, and any screenshots you attach. Without an account this data is stored only on your device. If you create an account and enable cloud sync, a copy is stored on our servers so you can access it across devices.
Account information. If you register, we collect your email address and authentication data needed to sign you in and secure your account.
Payment information. If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by the applicable app store or payment provider (for example Apple, Google, or Stripe). We receive confirmation of your subscription status but we do not receive or store your full card details.
Diagnostics. We do not currently collect advertising identifiers or sell data. If we later add crash reporting or analytics to improve the App, we will update this policy and the store data-disclosure forms first.
To provide and maintain the App, sync your data across your devices when you enable it, process and manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, keep the service secure, and comply with our legal obligations.
By default your data lives only on your device. When you enable sync, it is stored with our hosting provider and protected in transit with encryption and by access controls that are designed so that only your account can read your data.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the App — such as our cloud hosting provider, payment processors, and the app stores — and only to the extent needed to deliver the service, or where required by law.
You can delete all of your data at any time from within the App under Settings → Legal & data → Delete all my data. This removes your trades, strategies, watchlists, and screenshots both from your device and from our servers, on every device signed in to your account.
You can also delete your account outright, which permanently removes your login along with everything stored under it. Do this in the App under Settings → Your account → Delete account, or without installing the App at https://www.thegameoftradingjournal.com/delete-account. We may retain limited information where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal and tax obligations.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the App, or by contacting us at [email protected].
GOT Journal is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the App.
